Surface design is an ongoing thread through my art and design practice, from print and pattern to artwork created for physical spaces. Much of my work starts by hand, through drawing, painting, printmaking and experimenting with materials. I’m interested in the possibilities in a mark, a texture or an unexpected detail, and how these can be developed into something that brings character to a garment, a product or an interior.

The work moves between loose, abstract imagery and more graphic, illustrative forms, with each piece considered in relation to where it will live.
